Why Should I?
Why should YOU recycle?
When it comes to recycling, people often respond by saying 'Why should I?' and 'One person won't make a difference'
Well, in fact you would be wrong, YOU can make a difference.
One recycled tin can is enough to power a television for 3 hours, 1 recycled plastic bottle would save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 3 hours.
One tin can, One bottle.... That isn't so tough is it?
Think about it and help YOUR world become a better place. It's in our hands.

Imagine. If 100Million TONNES of Wood could be saved each year...
The average person uses 650lbs of paper each year.
This equates to the weight as an average Siberian Tiger.
FACT
100 Million tonnes of wood could be saved each year of all this paper was recylced.
This equates to the weight of a million Boeing 757 aircrafts.
FACT.

I just had to blog when I found these facts after doing further research on the recycling of cardboard last night. I found it fascinating when I then went on to find this youtube clip supporting my research. If we were all to recycle our paper and cardboard, including newpapers, packaging and waste paper we could make such a difference to, the environment, to our planet, and also to the lifestyles we lead.
FACT.
REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE.

Biggest ever recyclable artwork
http://www.edp24.co.uk/content/edp24/lifestyle/your-rubbish-your-choice/content/biggest-ever-recycable-artwork.aspx
An article that I found which I feel is a clever and inspiring way to gain interest about the facts of recycling specfically aluminium cans. Norfolk Environmental Waste Services has teamed up with super brand Coca Cola to create the world's biggest-ever recyclable artwork in the hope to encourage people to increase their recycling habits. The YouTube link at the bottom of the article, shows how the project was pieced together.

Viral Advert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGT9cUmHhxE
I had to blog about this video when I came across it on you tube. I think its absolutely fantastic! In terms of a short to the point advert, I think it could be really effective. I really like the life line idea and how resources such as trees are quickly dieing out and the association that something can be done if we recycle now. It really creates a sense of urgency. Something which we could look to include in our own persuasive video. It is definitely an advert that people will remember, but would it make you stop, think and Recycle?

Imagine....
A short clip I filmed, portraying just how easy recycling is for residents in Sheffield City Centre.
Recycling.
Important. Indispensible. Advancement.
POSTED BY KERRIE BRACKLEY.
Imagine.....
We don't want to live in a world, surrounded by this.
Do you?
Sheffield City Council and the public need to co-operate and take joint responsibility for improving the degree of plastic and card that is recycled.
Despite attempting to make recycling easier with local residents being provided with recycling bins and collection timetables, we do feel that the council are going for a too hard approach, putting the public off. Fining local residents for putting rubbish in the wrong bins, or leaving bins too full, is not persuading and encouaging recycling...
The Council need to re consider their approach to persuading us, but we also need to contribute and recycle our share. Even if it just means one piece of plastic and card a day.
You will make a difference.
Discover, easy, advancements.
Discover,informative,breakthroughs.
Discover recycling.
Imagine all the people, living for today.
Recycle you plastic and card, it's easy if you try.
You may say that I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one,
I hope someday your'll join us,
And the world will be as one.

Imagine a world without....
Imagine a world without plastic. Its hard. isn't it?
Every day objects that we take for granted, rely on plastic to be manufactured from.
Plastic relies on oil & non renewable materials, which are rapidly running out.
Or does it? - the answer, it doesn't.
Or does it? - the answer, it doesn't.
By recycling our exisiting obsolete plastic products, even the smallest waste.
You can make a difference...
You can make a difference...

The link for the video above portrays just how wasteful America is with plastic bottles, and that is just 1 out of 195 countries in the world.
Shocking, isn't it.
Imagine all the people,
Living for today.
Recycle your plastic and card,
It's easy if you try.
You may say that I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us,
And the world will be as one.
